šŸ›ļøāœØ NOW ACCEPTING MATTRESSES!

Yes — Green Girl Recycling is officially accepting mattresses year-round! šŸŽ‰

And fun fact… we’ve actually been recycling mattresses for over six years, helping the City of Longmont every October during their mattress collection events.

Every year people asked:

ā€œCan I bring mine in anytime?ā€

Until now, the answer had to be not yet…

🚧 Why We Couldn’t Before

At our old warehouse, mattress storage was tough:

  • They sat on an open flatbed

  • We were near the river

  • And unfortunately, mattresses kept ā€œwalking offā€ and turning into riverbank housing 😬

That didn’t help anyone — especially the environment.

šŸ What Changed?

Our new warehouse at 1801 Boston Ave. šŸ™Œ

We can now:

  • Securely store mattresses in one of our older trucks

  • Collect up to 50 at a time

  • Haul them safely to Denver for proper recycling

šŸ¤ Our Mattress Recycling Partner

We proudly partner with Springback Colorado, the local legends who:

  • Hand-deconstruct mattresses

  • Recycle metal, foam, cotton & wood

  • Create meaningful local jobs

We LOVE these guys — and your mattress is in excellent hands.

šŸ’° The Important Stuff

āœ” Price:Ā $45 per mattress or box spring

āœ” Drop-off hours: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 4:30 PM

āœ” Location:Ā 1801 Boston Ave., Longmont

🚨 VERY IMPORTANT (PLEASE READ)

We ONLY accept clean, dry mattresses and box springs.

āŒ No bedbugs

āŒ No infestations

āŒ No mattresses soaked in animal pee

We love recycling… but we cannot accept disgusting mattresses 🤢

(Thanks for understanding — and for being kind to our crew!)

ā™»ļø Why This Matters

Mattresses are bulky, hard to landfill, and nearly 90% recyclable when handled properly. Recycling yours helps:

  • Keep huge items out of the landfill

  • Support local recycling jobs

  • Do the right thing for our community

If you’ve got a mattress to ditch — or know someone who does — send them our way.

šŸ‘‰ YES — we recycle mattresses. ALL. YEAR. LONG. ā™»ļøšŸ’Ŗ

Thanks for recycling with our family business. We appreciate YOU! šŸ’š

The initiative ā€œWe Recycle Mattresses Now!ā€Ā is a positive step toward sustainability and environmental responsibility. Mattress recycling helps reduce landfill waste, conserve valuable materials, and support a cleaner, greener future. Programs like this show how businesses can make a real impact by adopting eco-friendly practices. In a similar way, modern industries also benefit from smart solutions such as digitizing services for embroidery, which reduce material waste and improve production efficiency. Both recycling and digital embroidery solutions reflect innovation, responsibility, and a commitment to better practices that benefit the environment and long-term business growth.

I liked how the post shares that Green Girl Recycling now accepts old mattresses year‑round and explains the effort it takes to collect and recycle such big items instead of letting them sit in landfill. When I was trying to balance school work and chores, I remember sitting at my desk with UK assignment helpĀ open on my laptop while I tried to sort out my to‑do list and everyday tasks. It made me think about how small changes like recycling and study habits can add up to a better routine.
