Yes ā Green Girl Recycling is officially accepting mattresses year-round! š
And fun factā¦ weāve actually been recycling mattresses for over six years, helping the City of Longmont every October during their mattress collection events.
Every year people asked:
āCan I bring mine in anytime?ā
Until now, the answer had to be not yetā¦
š§ Why We Couldnāt Before
At our old warehouse, mattress storage was tough:
They sat on an open flatbed
We were near the river
And unfortunately, mattresses kept āwalking offā and turning into riverbank housing š¬
That didnāt help anyone ā especially the environment.
š What Changed?
Our new warehouse at 1801 Boston Ave. š
We can now:
Securely store mattresses in one of our older trucks
Collect up to 50 at a time
Haul them safely to Denver for proper recycling

Hand-deconstruct mattresses
Recycle metal, foam, cotton & wood
Create meaningful local jobs

We ONLY accept clean, dry mattresses and box springs.
