Threading Forward

Last year, I bought a Brother SE2000 embroidery machine with full intentions of becoming a stitching superstar immediately…

But then — warehouse relocation, new systems, new space, a whole lot of chaos, and (shocking) there are only 24 hours in a day. The machine sat patiently, waiting for us to breathe, settle, and finally give it the attention it deserved. Now that we have settled:

OH. MY. THREAD. This machine is changing everything ;)

Being able to embroider our Green Girl logo onto vests, fleece jackets, hats, and gear for the holidays has felt surreal. It’s one thing to hand your team a gift — it’s another to hand them something you physically stitched with your own hands, something made with intention, meaning, and love.

🎥 Here’s the video if you want to watch the magic happen…

We always encourage people to think green, repurpose what they own, and extend the life of materials. So naturally — the first thing I did?

Gave some older jackets a major facelift.

New logo, new life, same garment. ♻️💚

And honestly… they look AMAZING!

Saving Money — While Building Skill & Sustainability

Let’s be real — embroidery work can be expensive.

Bringing this process in-house means:

✨ We save money on custom apparel

✨ We reduce transportation + production waste

✨ We get the freedom to create whenever we want

✨ We turn existing items into upgraded gifts

And THAT feels like sustainability in action.

There’s something powerful about being self-sufficient — not waiting on a vendor, not hoping someone else gets your brand “right,” but instead thread-painting your green mission stitch by stitch.

It’s rewarding. It’s creative.

And it feels personal.

Seeing that needle dance across fabric makes me grin ear-to-ear every time.

Year-End Gratitude + Threads of Joy

As we head into the holidays, I feel incredibly grateful for:

💚 Finally finding time to master this machine

💚 The creative freedom it gives us

💚 A team I get to surprise with custom gear

💚 The ability to reuse, repurpose, and renew

It’s not just a tool — it’s a partner in crafting our mission and stitching our values into every gift we give. Literally.

Here’s to a greener Christmas, a more creative future, and a whole lot of thread.

Whoot!! 🧵🎄✨

Understanding how programme and program differ requires awareness of regional language conventions. American English uses “program” in every context, whereas British English typically uses “programme” for activities, TV shows, and schedules, keeping “program” for tech-related terms. Knowing when to use each spelling ensures clarity and consistency in both professional and academic communication.
